xTuple Privacy Policy

We respect the privacy of our customers and partners and are committed to building relationships based on mutual trust. We do ask that you register with us in order to download the xTuple (formerly OpenMFG) software, and we will always tell you exactly what we will do with any information you give us about yourself - at the time you give it to us. This document spells out exactly what we do with any information we collect about you - whether you provide it directly or indirectly through "cookies" or other technology.

1. Collected Information

1.1. User Registration Information

xTuple makes every effort to allow our customers to define the relationship they have with us. We ask our customers how they would like us to communicate with them, if at all. We disclose how we will be using our customers' information through documents, such as this one, or by answering individual questions customers may ask. Also, we never sell our customers' information or provide it to others without making it clear that we intend to do so at the time the information is collected.

Our website's registration system requires you to give us some contact information (such as a user name or email address) and unique identifiers (such as a password). Unique identifiers are collected to verify your identity and are used as account numbers in our record system.

During the registration process you will be given a choice as to whether you would like xTuple or our business partners to contact you in the future. This is an "opt-in" process. If you opt-in, we rely on your consent to send you information, special offers and promotional materials. You may choose whether you would like to be contacted via mail, email, phone or not at all. We will only contact you via the methods you choose. The only exception is the rare case that we find a significant issue with a product or service you have registered that requires your immediate attention. We may contact you via phone or email as the situation warrants. This is for your protection.
