xTuple Manufacturing Special Event - Register for How to Improve Business Performance in Manufacturing

Lean manufacturing is not just a buzz word; it’s a necessity in today’s business environment. And it’s attainable using simple production strategies such as make-to-order.

What is “make-to-order” (MTO) and why do I need it in my manufacturing process?

MTO is a business production strategy that allows for the purchase of products that are customized to a customer’s specifications, i.e., the manufacturer only produces the end product once the customer places the order. This creates additional wait time for the consumer to receive the product, but allows for more flexible customization compared to purchasing from retailers' shelves. MTO relieves the problems of excessive inventory – and increased costs – common with the traditional make-to-stock (MTS) business model.

In this webinar, Paladin Logic is pleased to announce the release of the Paladin Rule-Based Configurator (RBC): an extensive and powerful add-on package to xTuple designed to provide make-to-order capability. Rather than define an item for each variation on a product, you can use the Paladin Rule-Based Configurator to organize variations as sets of options which can apply to many items. Make-to-order quotes and orders are fully integrated with xTuple’s line item entry screens, making option selection simple.
