We were on the bottom end for the size of a company that can move to an ERP system. We were also at the top end in size of a company that can use QuickBooks. xTuple is focused on their clients’ needs. The website, community, and training classes are a big help.
xTuple Web Portal Links its Customers and their Business Partners
NORFOLK, VA – June 2, 2010 - xTuple, provider of commercial open source business management software for growing companies, today announced the general availability of its xTuple Web Portal. This powerful new tool enables xTuple users to utilize their website to work directly with customers, suppliers, or other business partners. The Web Portal is based on a seamless integration of xTuple’s open source ERP software with Drupal, an open source website management platform.
The xTuple Web Portal, previewed at DrupalCon in April, can be hosted on-premise or through an xTuple Partner. It enables companies to:
- Improve customer service
- Establish an internal helpdesk
- Build deeper relationships with partners or suppliers
- Engage end-users of the company’s products
Once a conversation is initiated in the xTuple Web Portal, an Incident is automatically created in the xTuple CRM module where users can categorize, prioritize and assign the Incident to a staff member or team. In addition, users can create Opportunities, ToDo's or even full Projects from that initial Incident.
As the Incident is worked on internally, the company’s website is updated with status reports and notes to ensure all parties are kept in the loop. In addition, the person who filed the Incident can receive status updates via email.
“We use the Web Portal internally at xTuple for customer and partner support and it has greatly streamlined our communication efforts. We are committed to providing the tools necessary for companies to gain control over their operations and power their growth,” said Ned Lilly, xTuple CEO.
This powerful new tool runs on all three editions of the xTuple software: xTuple PostBooks is the open source offering, which is free and suitable for small businesses. It includes full financials; robust CRM; sales and purchasing; financial and ad-hoc reporting; and lightweight inventory, manufacturing and distribution.; xTuple Standard is a mid-range commercial offering, which adds advanced inventory control, warehousing, and other features to the core package. xTuple Manufacturing is the most advanced commercial offering, which is ideal for manufacturing companies in both discrete and batch process production; make to order, make to stock, or mixed-mode; even job shops and engineer-to-order.
xTuple business management software gives growing companies control over operations, and the tools to power that growth. xTuple integrates all critical functional areas in one system: sales, accounting, and operations– including customer and supplier management, inventory control, manufacturing and distribution.
As a commercial open source company, xTuple works with a global community of over 25,000 professional users. xTuple gives customers the ability to tailor solutions to meet their needs with multi-platform support for Mac, Windows and Linux, and flexible licensing and pricing options.& For more information, please visit the company web site at www.xtuple.com or the community web site at www.xtuple.org.
