xTuple Web Portal Links its Customers and their Business Partners
NORFOLK, VA – June 2, 2010 - xTuple, provider of commercial open source business management software for growing companies, today announced the general availability of its xTuple Web Portal. This powerful new tool enables xTuple users to utilize their website to work directly with customers, suppliers, or other business partners. The Web Portal is based on a seamless integration of xTuple’s open source ERP software with Drupal, an open source website management platform.
The xTuple Web Portal, previewed at DrupalCon in April, can be hosted on-premise or through an xTuple Partner. It enables companies to:
- Improve customer service
- Establish an internal helpdesk
- Build deeper relationships with partners or suppliers
- Engage end-users of the company’s products
Once a conversation is initiated in the xTuple Web Portal, an Incident is automatically created in the xTuple CRM module where users can categorize, prioritize and assign the Incident to a staff member or team. In addition, users can create Opportunities, ToDo's or even full Projects from that initial Incident.
As the Incident is worked on internally, the company’s website is updated with status reports and notes to ensure all parties are kept in the loop. In addition, the person who filed the Incident can receive status updates via email.
