Launch the xTuple client application

After you have downloaded the Postbooks installer and run it, you will have the application installed on your local computer. The client should open automatically at the end of the installation process, showing the login screen.

Log in to the local demo database

If you installed the PostgreSQL server and the demo database locally (on your computer) during the installation, then you should select "Log in to server I specify."

To log in to any of the local databases (demo, quickstart, or empty), enter username "admin" and password "admin":

The following settings should be preconfigured in the client, but to view them, click on Options (Server: localhost, Database: [demo, quickstart, or empty], Port: 5432):

Log in to the Hosted Demo (single-user demo)

If you applied and were approved for a demo of the xTuple Enterprise edition, select "Log in to single-user demo with my xTuple web user."

You'll enter the username and password you use to log in to the xTuple.com or xTuple.org website.

Log in to an xTuple Cloud database

If you registered for xTuple Cloud Access, then select "Log in to my company's xTuple cloud database." Use the login credentials that you received in your Cloud Access confirmation email.
